25. Camel (1940s)
Can you imagine that there was a time when actual, qualified medical physicians were chain-smoking and hopping on board to be spokespeople in advertisements promoting it?
26. Sony (the 1980s)
This ’80s magazine ad has so many lovely time-capsule elements that it only adds to the enjoyment of the campaign. We can’t get enough of the quad skates and the ad’s hero, the tape cassette portable player.
27. Bell and Howell Projector (the 1950s)
Sabrina and her focused-in-on chest appear to be the crux of this 1950s sale for a projector, but we have to ask what on earth any of that has to do with anything designed for work and education.
28. Plymouth (the 1940s)
The front-and-center bigotry in this 1940s Plymouth marketing campaign is enough to make you squirm, and the full book-length ad language does the exact opposite of selling us on this model.
