13. Leggs (the 1970s)
When you first glance at this commercial, there is so much cringe-worthy that you don’t need to read the extra sexist lines accompanied by the image of the lady laying on the floor under the man’s feet.
14. Nichols Industries Inc. (the 1950s)
Whether it’s real or not, this phony Nichols machine gun isn’t in Nerf territory. But, in no time, you’ll be diving over couches and building blanket forts.
15. Kohler Bathroom Fixtures (the 1960s)
It’s hard to think that in the 1960s, the “it” hue was vomit green, which was marketed as “avocado chic.” If one fixture isn’t awful enough, imagine an entire bathroom pouring with it.
16. Airflow Company (the 1980s)
We believe this advertisement may have missed the point in the 1980s for a variety of reasons. It advocates for optimal air circulation for devices, while the sex appeal steers consumers in the other direction at the office.
