114. McDonald’s (the 1960s)
Everything from the prices to the free child items takes us back in time, but what’s so fascinating about this commercial is that McDonald’s “Golden Arches” image is still in use today.

Oh, the age-old beauty vs. brains issue, which still plagues us today. It’s loud and proud here, with a clear preference for beauty above clever.
116. Salem cigarettes (the 1970s)
You’d think smoking a cigarette on a humid, steamy day would be the polar opposite of refreshing. Still, Salem Cigarettes says otherwise. Throw in some boot water, and you’ve got yourself a terrific Saturday.
