The Golfer Who Shocked Everyone by Being True to Herself

From Desert to Beach

Paige’s journey in golf started with a stumble at the University of Arizona. Armed with a scholarship and high ambitions, she participated in only three tournaments, scoring a respectable but not groundbreaking 73. The next year called for a change.

In the 2011/12 season, Paige faced challenging conditions in the desert. She made a move to San Diego State University, where the fairways felt more welcoming. There, her golf game blossomed, and her enthusiasm soared. It proved to be a great fit, with her academic performance also seeing an uptick.

Freshman Fury

In her first year at Aztecs, Paige made it look like a walk in the golf park! During the 2012-2013 season, she earned First-Team All-Mountain West honors and secured numerous top-10 finishes. Not too shabby for a freshman, huh?

In her second year, Paige blazed through the fairways, grabbing 19th place in the NCAA Central Regional Championship. Despite settling for Second Team, she clinched another top-10 finish in collegiate championships. Although her performance dipped slightly, she was gearing up for bigger things.
