Street Joker

One-Mean-Prankster-1

Reporting live is full of surprises; anything can happen in the blink of an eye. One of the most cringe-worthy mishaps is forgetting a line or having an unexpected visitor pop up in the background. Take, for instance, a reporter who fell victim to a hilarious prank right in the middle of a live broadcast.

In a live report from Washington Square, a surprising moment unfolded when someone unexpectedly pulled down the reporter’s pants on camera. This shocking incident momentarily left the reporter speechless, caught off guard by the prank. Although the camera swiftly shifted away, the incident had already been broadcasted, drawing significant attention.

Meet Sophie, the scarlet ibis

Perfect-Perch-1

Back in 2018, the anchors of CBS News 8’s Morning News program had a hectic day when a scarlet ibis stole the show with an unexpected act on live television. These birds are medium to large-sized, closely related to storks and spoonbills, known for their distinctive appearance and behavior.

When the ibis messenger, one of the San Diego Zoo Safari Park’s two representatives, made its on-air appearance, a ten-year-old bird named Sophie unexpectedly perched on the head of Nichelle Medina, host of the Zoo Day program. Despite the surprise intrusion, the Emmy winner maintained her composure and displayed professionalism. Meanwhile, Medina’s colleague Eric Kahnert appeared less relaxed with the guest, as captured in the photo.
