At a 2013 after-party, Tom Daley showed up a bit late and saw Dustin Lance Black. Tom admitted he had no clue who Dustin was but couldn’t help but be captivated by the Oscar-winning director, producer, and screenwriter. Dustin felt there was a spark but brushed it off, thinking it was too good to be true. The event was meant to celebrate Tom’s win at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, but Dustin chose not to attend. Determined, Tom took the initiative, asked for Dustin’s number, and saved it in his phone.
One thing led to another, and before long, Tom and Dustin got engaged. They shared the news on Instagram on October 2, 2015. Two years later, they tied the knot at Bovey Castle in Devon. Tom talked about it being the most special weekend of their lives, celebrated with over 100 guests from places like Texarkana to Plymouth. Now, the couple has a child through surrogacy, a little boy named Robbie Ray.
