During his early years, Barron lived in the luxurious Trump penthouse in New York City and went to top private schools on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Even after Donald Trump became president in January 2017, Barron and Melania stayed in Manhattan until the school year ended. That summer, Barron started attending St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Maryland and moved to the White House with his family.
In January 2024, during a speech at his campaign headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa, Donald Trump shared a fun fact about his son Barron. At just 17 years old, Barron is already taller than his dad, standing at a towering 6 feet, 7 inches. Donald humorously credits Barron’s height to his love for the tasty meals cooked by his late grandmother, Amalija Knavs, Melania’s mother.
During a speech in Des Moines, Iowa, as reported by The Daily Mail, Donald Trump affectionately called Barron a “special boy” and shared a humorous moment about Barron’s future in sports. Donald said, “I told him he should be a basketball player. Barron replied, ‘Well, I actually like soccer, Dad.’ I thought, at your height, basketball would be better, but you can’t convince them of everything.”
